Amy Helm & The Handsome Strangers Record ‘Rescue Me’ Backstage At 2016 Newport Folk Festival

Last month Amy Helm & The Handsome Strangers were among the artists who performed at the 2016 Newport Folk Festival. While at Fort Adams in Newport, Rhode Island the group recorded a special backstage performance of their original “Rescue Me.”
Helm led the ensemble on an acoustic rendition of the second song from her 2015 debut album Didn’t It Rain as part of the MyMusicRx backstage video series. Children’s Cancer Association launched MyMusicRx as a way to bring “the healing power of music to kids facing cancer and other serious illnesses.”
