Amazing Website Allows You To Make Your Own Bob Dylan Mix

Today marks the release of Bob Dylan – The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12, which focuses on the years Bob Dylan transformed from a folkie to a rocker by going electric. Columbia Records has launched an incredibly cool website to celebrate the release that allows listeners to create their own mixes of outtakes from the set.
The Cutting Edge takes you inside Studio A in NYC, where Dylan recorded Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde on Blonde in 1965 and 1966. First up on the site is “Like A Rolling Stone.” Users can play with four stems (tracks recorded during the sessions) and manipulate them to create their own mix. Do you think Bob’s vocals and guitars should be low in the mix while piano and bass should be upfront? Want to hear the lead guitar all be its lonesome? Here’s your chance to get behind the board.

Look for more songs to be added to the site soon. There’s also a listening session portion of the micro-site which allows you to get the inside stories behind the sessions.
