[Updated] Amanda Shires Reveals Brandi Carlile & Margo Price Collaboration

Update: Amanda Shires posted on social media regarding her interview with WFPK. Shires stated she “accidentally jumped the gun” by discussing The Highwomen, but did confirm a project with Brandi Carlile is “in the works” and will be formally announced in the future. Singer-songwriter Amanda Shires revealed her involvement in the new supergroup The Highwomen with Brandi Carlile and Margo Price. The fiddle player discussed the new project during an interview that aired on WFPK public radio station in Louisville.

The appearance featured Shires and guitarist Seth Clemens performing songs from the former’s 2018 album To The Sunset. Speaking with host Laura Shine, Shires discussed making the album and her recent work with Jim Lauderdale writing songs for The Highwomen. According to Shires, she and Carlile and Price will record an album together in March. Listen to the interview via the link below:
