ALO brought their Tour D’Amour 2020 to The Troubadour in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Ben Morrison, Erika Tietjen and Tom Freund made guest appearances as part of the concert.
The quartet kicked off their first set with Zach Gill‘s “Got To Do It Again” and the older “Push.” ALO then played “No More Zombies” and “Falling Dominos” before busting out the classic “Professa.” Next, opener Ben Morrison of The Brothers Comatose and his wife, Erika Tietjen of T Sisters led ALO through The Zutons’ “Valerie” — a song made famous by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse. “Undertow” ended Saturday’s first set.
ALO opened the second set with the recently debuted “Baby Blind Spot” and “Rewind.” Then, Freund emerged to front the group on Pete Townshend’s “Let My Love Open The Door.” From there, ALO worked “I Love Music” into “Roses & Clover” and fit Bob Seger’s “Hollywood Nights” within their own “Maria.” Saturday’s encore consisted of drummer Ezra Lipp‘s “Goodnight Song.”
