Allman Brothers Band Announces 45th Anniversary Show

It’s already been a crazy year for The Allman Brothers Band, who have revealed that guitarists Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes will leave the band at the end of 2014. Today, Jambands.com has broke the news that the Allmans have added an 11th show to their upcoming March Madness run at the Beacon Theatre in NYC on a special day in the group’s history.

The Allmans’s 11th Beacon performance of 2014 will take place on March 25 and will celebrate the group’s 45th anniversary. According to Jambands.com, the show will go down exactly 45 years after the band formed in Jacksonville, FL. Pre-sales start on Wednesday, January 22, followed by the public on sale on January 31 at 10 a.m. ET.

For now, the Allmans’ Beacon run is currently slated to span 11 performances starting on March 7 and running through March 25. The dates are March 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21, 22 and 25.
