On October 1 a diverse array of artists will come together at Carnegie Hall in New York City to celebrate the music of Bill Withers. Impresario Michael Dorf will produce the concert dubbed Lean On Him: A Tribute To Bill Withers. The concert will celebrate the legacy of the recent Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee which will feature a re-creation of Withers’ famed Live At Carnegie Hall LP. Those tapped to perform include Michael McDonald, Keb Mo, Sheryl Crow, Kathy Mattea, Ed Sheeran, D’Angelo, Dr. John and Gregory Porter. Greg Phillinganes (Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder) has been tapped as musical director for the event.
