All-Star Benefit Concert ‘Across The Great Divide’ To Feature Bob Weir, John Prine & More

An impressive array of musicians spanning multiple genres and generations will perform at Across The Great Divide, a benefit concert for The Americana Music Association and The Blues Foundation at the Ace Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday, October 19.

Legendary musicians John Prine, Bob Weir, Lucinda Williams, Lee Ann Womack and Joe Louis Walker are aboard for the benefit concert. Younger contemporaries Shemekia Copeland, Doyle Bramhall II, Larkin Poe and Tash Neal will also take part in Across The Great Divide with surprise guests expected. The benefit’s house band will be led by musical director Jimmy Vivino from TBS late night talk show Conan.

“It’s an honor to have a small part in helping the Americana Music Association and The Blues Foundation,” said Greg Williamson, concert producer and founder of UpperWest Music Group in a statement. “These two organizations represent some of the most significant artists in American music.”

A pre-sale begins Thursday, August 23 at 9 a.m. PT via AXS.com. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 24 at 9 a.m. PT.
