Alice In Chains Welcomes Robby Krieger In Hollywood

Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Robby Krieger sat-in with Seattle-birthed rockers Alice in Chains on Wednesday night. The Doors guitarist joined Alice In Chains for the “Rooster” finale at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood.

Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell previously performed “Love Her Madly” with Krieger and Doors drummer John Densmore back in December at the Museum Of Pop Culture in Seattle as Rolling Stone noted. Robby returned the favor by adding to AIC’s live version of their 1992 smash. Cantrell handled most of the heavy lifting and took a solo while Krieger played subtle leads and chunky rhythms.

The current Alice In Chains lineup features Cantrell and fellow original member Sean Kinney joined by vocalist William DuVall and bassist Mike Inez. AIC released the studio album Rainier Fog earlier this year. Wednesday’s show featured a mix of classics and material from Rainier Fog as well as 2009’s Black Gives Way To Blue and 2013’s The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.
