Rapper Afroman had been best known for his hit 2000 single “Because I Got High,” yet that may change after a disturbing incident during his concert in Biloxi, Mississippi last night. As per TMZ, Afroman’s concert was cut short and the rapper was arrested after he punched a female concertgoer who had jumped up on stage in the face.

Concertgoers should never invade a performer’s stage unless asked, but there’s never a good reason to punch anyone in the face let alone a woman. The shocking incident was captured on video:

Local officials brought the show to a close soon after the incident and arrested Afroman outside of the venue. Afroman was released after paying a $330 bond.

Update: Afroman has shared the following on Facebook, “I apologize for my actions. I will be making a full formal apology and excepting (sic) full responsibility for my actions. I will address everything today on TMZ at 2 o’clock eastern time.”
