Aerosmith pushed off the rest of their 2023 farewell Peace Out Tour dates to 2024 as a vocal injury sustained by frontman Steven Tyler was determined to be “more serious than initially thought.” The news was shared by the band on socials today.
Tyler suffered the injury on September 9 in Elmont, New York during the third show of the 40-city trek with The Black Crowes. Aerosmith originally postponed the rest of their September concerts and announced new dates in early 2024. Now, the remainder of the band’s 2023 schedule has been moved to “sometime in 2024, with new dates to be announced as soon as we know more.”

“Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought,” started the note from Aerosmith addressed to their fans. “His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”
Tyler “is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential,” Aerosmith added. Tickets for the original shows will be honored on the new dates with refunds available for ticketholders who cannot attend the rescheduled concerts.
“I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world,” wrote Steven Tyler. “I promise we will be back as soon as we can!”
