AC/DC Kicks Off 1st North American Tour In 9 Years: Setlist & Videos

AC/DC launched their first North American Tour since 2016 on Thursday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The legendary rockers loaded the Power Up Tour setlist with favorites from their hit-filled catalog.

While AC/DC last performed at the Power Trip Festival in Indio, California in 2023, the band’s last proper North American Tour took place in 2016. In 2024, the group trekked through Europe and this year it’s North America’s turn to host the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band from Australia.

Led by co-founding guitarist Angus Young alongside longtime frontman Brian Johnson, guitarist Stevie Young and touring rhythm section drummer Matt Laug and bassist Chris Chaney, AC/DC kicked off their first NA Tour in nearly a decade with a rousing “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It).” The track appears on the band’s 1979 album Highway to Hell.

Angus Young and company would also lean heavily on the record that shot them to global stardom, 1980’s Back in Black, performing the title track along with classic rock radio mainstays “Have a Drink on Me,” “Hells Bells,” “Shoot to Thrill” and “You Shook Me All Night Long.”

Additional favorites performed included “Thunderstruck,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Train,” “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and “Whole Lotta Rosie.” AC/DC also tapped into their most recent studio album, 2020’s Power Up, with “Demon Fire” and “Shot in the Dark.”

Angus Young delivered his signature extended solos on “Riff Raff” and set-closer “Let There Be Rock.” AC/DC returned to encore with a pair of crowd-pleasers, “T.N.T.” and “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You).”
