With Election Day one week away, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Aaron Lee Tasjan shared a newly remixed version of his single, “I Love America Better Than You.” Dave Schools of Widespread Panic plays bass on the track.
Tasjan released the original “I Love America Better Than You” on his latest album, Stellar Evolution, which arrived on April 12, 2024 via Blue Élan. The follow-up to 2021’s Tasjan! Tasjan! Tasjan! was prepped during a dark period for the LGBTQI+ community in the South and found the bi-sexual artist tackling the hateful rhetoric and injustices head on.

“Given the current political climate we’re facing in this country, the timing feels right for ‘I Love America Better Than You,’” explained Tasjan. “People need these moments of brevity during intense periods of social and political discourse, and that’s what we’re living through right now.
“‘I Love America Better Than You’ is an anthem for this moment in time, and the lyric-forward approach will allow people to make it their own source of inspiration to fight for what they believe in and make their voices heard at the polls in November,” added the acclaimed artist. “It’s just me being really honest about my experience growing up and living in this country.”
