My Morning Jacket continued their promotional tour in support of The Waterfall, their new studio album that was released earlier this week, with an appearance on The Ellen Show. Jim James & Co. played The Waterfall track “Big Decisions” while making their daytime talk show debut. 



Everyone in the audience received a CD copy of The Waterfall and The Ellen Show is also giving away a pair of tickets to each of My Morning Jacket’s upcoming concerts. Watch MMJ play “Big Decisions” for their big fan Ellen:




Yesterday NPR and KCRW aired My Morning Jacket’s performance from Mack Sennett Studios in Los Angeles, as part of the  First Listen Live webcast series. The band played The Waterfall in its entirety as well as cuts from their last LP Circuital and one song from James’ side-project The Basement Tapes. The entire concert will be available to stream on May 13, for now watch a three-song excerpt of “Spring (Among the Living)” “Thin Line” and “Big Decisions”:

MMJ begins their world tour on Friday, May 15 at the sold-out Georgia Theatre in Athens, Georgia.
