— Jason Isbell (@JasonIsbell) April 25, 2015 Backed by renowned harmonica player Mickey Raphael, with Isbell on guitar and Shires on fiddle, the pair shared vocals while treating the audience at The Ed Sullivan Theater to a cover of Warren Zevon’s “Mutineer.” Isbell and Shires released a recording of the track earlier this year backed by a cover of Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers.” Isbell’s new album, Something More Than Free, will be released July 17 through Southeastern Records.Watch their The Late Show appearance below.
