Radiohead Drummer Provides Update On New Studio Album

One of the year’s most anticipated albums is expected at some point in 2015 from Radiohead, who began work on a follow-up to 2011’s King of Limbs back in September. There had been little word on the progress of the sessions, until drummer Philip Selway weighed in on the process during an interview with Netherlands news outlet Haarlems Dagblad.

Now, bear in mind that the article was published in Dutch, so the quotes that follow have been translated into English by Google Translate. Selway, who mostly discussed his debut solo album, shared the following about the status of the new Radiohead record:

“From September to Christmas we have been in the studio with Radiohead. Ideas exchanged, new things tried. That’s us a process that takes a lot of time. Composing is especially experimenting with Radiohead and develop ideas. All these fragments and scraps Let then quietly settle a while. That’s why I now have time to go on tour with my solo album. In March we will then continue with the Radiohead album.”

We can’t wait to hear what Radiohead’s working on and we’d be surprised if the innovative band doesn’t come up with an interesting way to distribute their ninth studio album. Stay tuned!
