After months of hype today is the day we finally get to hear a full song from Foo Fighters’ long-awaited eighth studio album, Sonic Highways. The band has shared “Something From Nothing,” the LP’s first single.

Sonic Highways the album is due on November 10, while the HBO series that documents the creation of the LP premieres tomorrow night. All week long Foo Fighters have been performing songs that inspired the creation of Sonic Highways on The Late Show With David Letterman. Take a listen to “Something From Nothing”:

Foo Fighters recorded the track with producer Steve Albini in Chicago. You might recall that Grohl and Albini have a history together as Steve produced Nirvana’s 1993 album In Utero.

As a reminder, Foo Fighters perform at a Sonic Highways premiere party that will be held tomorrow night at Cubby Bear in Chicago. Head to HBO’s Facebook page tomorrow night at midnight ET to watch a free webcast of the performance.
