Peter Gabriel Era Genesis Lineup Reunites For Documentary

Later this year the BBC will premiere a new, full-length documentary dubbed Genesis: Together and Apart that features interviews with the members of the 1971-1975 lineup. The BBC has reunited Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins,Mike Rutherford, Steve Hackett and Tony Banks for the first time since 1975 for the documentary.

While this isn’t quite the news of a Genesis reunion we were hoping for, where the guys would actually make music together, The BBC has a long history of creating amazing documentaries, so we can’t wait to see Genesis: Together and Apart when it debuts later this year. For now, no official airdate has been announced, but it will air on BBC Two. A press release from the BBC says “the film will explore the group’s songwriting as well as their emotional highs and lows and will include previously unseen archive material and rare concert footage from over the 47 year career.”
