Bonnaroo Announces Derek Trucks SuperJam

UPDATE 5/16 11 a.m. PT: This Superjam has become even more of a beast as bassist Willie Weeks, keyboardist Nigel Hall and a horn section of Karl Denson, Ryan Zoidis and Eric Bloom have been added to the lineup.

You can always count on the Bonnaroo SuperJam to provide unusual collaborations and this year’s efforts look to be no different. Shortly after Bonnaroo organizers revealed the Skrillex & Friends SuperJam lineup featuring Big Gigantic, Mickey Hart, Robby Krieger and many more came the announcement of a Derek Trucks SuperJam.

The Derek Trucks SuperJam will find the Tedeschi Trucks Band/Allman Brothers Band guitarist joined by Chaka Khan, Taj Mahal, Eric Krasno, James Gadson, David Hidalgo and Adam Deitch. Andrew Bird, Susan Tedeschi and Ben Folds will be the special guests for the Derek Trucks SuperJam.

Bonnaroo 2014 takes place at The Farm in Manchester, TN from June 12 -15. Tickets are available via the event’s website.
