Best News Of The Day | Sharon Jones Is Cancer Free

Last June we were incredibly saddened to find out that the lovely and talented Sharon Jones was fighting cancer. Seven months later we’re thrilled that Jones has announced she’s officially cancer free.

Jones revealed the news on her social feeds, noting on Facebook, “I just got the best news in my entire life! I AM CANCER FREE!!! The doctor looked at my scan and said that everything looked normal and healthy. It’s been a tough road, but this is the moment I have been praying for. I can not thank you all enough for your positive energy and prayers, I truly could not have done this without your love!”

Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings are set to hit the road for an extensive tour next month.
