Season’s Greetings Bust Outs From moe. In Denver
By Scott Bernstein Dec 8, 2013 • 10:00 am PST

Though Hanukkah had ended last week, moe. used the occasion of their show closest to the holiday on Friday night to play their Western-tinged instrumental version of “Oh Hanukkah” from Season’s Greetings. moe. hadn’t performed “Oh Hanukkah” in over eight years and it was just their third take on the song of all-time. “Oh Hanukkah” took place during a stacked second set that also included a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Time” and a jammed out “McBain” > “Down Boy” > “Billy Goat” sequence, which ran over 40 minutes.
Saturday night saw moe. dust off Season’s Greetings’ “We’re A Couple Of Misfits,” which was originally featured in the Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer 1964 special. “We’re A Couple Of Misfits” was last played by moe. on December 29, 2012. moe. stuck mainly to classics on Saturday in Denver, offering the old-school “Jazz Wank” > “Buster” pairing after “Misfits” and breaking up “Yodelittle” with “Bones Of Lazarus.” Next up for moe. is a trip to Park City, UT for a Monday night show at Park City Live.
