Dave Grohl And Oteil Help Zac Brown Band Debut New Song

Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl is about the last person you’d expect to perform at an event honoring country music, yet there he was on drums for the Zac Brown Band at the Country Music Awards in Nashville last night. Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge was also part of the performance in which the ZBB debuted a new song.

According to HitFix, Grohl is producing the new ZBB album. The former Nirvana member manned the kit for the debut performance of “Day For The Dead” on Wednesday night at the CMAs in Nashville, while Oteil held down the bottom end. The song has heavy elements that almost remind us of Pearl Jam’s “Evenflow.” Check it out:
