John McLaughlin Guitarist John McLaughlin is world-renowned for virtuosic compositions punctuated by spiritual imagery and lightning fast leads. Having influenced generations of musicians and guided the evolution of jazz guitar for decades, he more recently turned his attention to the music that initially lured him on to the path less travelled. Having first heard A Love Supreme in 1965, McLaughlin recalls "Coltrane came along and single-handedly brought this dimension of spirituality into jazz, it was a pivotal experience to me." This tour and the release that it supports (To The One, Abstract Logix, 2010) are the culmination of that inspirational moment.
