Stars of Track and Field Set To Release A Time For Lions September 15

Stars of Track and Field
On September 15 the sophomore album, A Time For Lions, from the Portland based trio Stars of Track and Field will be released at respectable record stores across the country. The album will be released digitally via iTunes on September 1st. A Time For Lions was produced by John King of The Dust Brothers (Beastie Boys, Beck, Tenacious D) along with Stars of Track and Field who co-produced five of the 11 tracks.

The new release follows the bands' debut, 2006's Centuries Before Love and War, an album that received rave reviews from the press including four stars in Alternative Press Magazine.

Although Stars of Track and Field have taken some time before bringing fans and critics a new album, they will not be disappointed with the offerings on A Time For Lions. The trio continues with the sound they know best and what worked so well on previous recordings, but they also bring a personal, more mature feel to the table on the new release. A Time For Lions starts out with a bang on the opening track "Racing Lights" and continues to take the listener on an amazing journey throughout the entire recording.
