Camp Barefoot 3

Jesse Miller – Lotus by Brad Kuntz
Camp Barefoot Music Festival is set to take place August 13-15, 2009 at the Cove Campground in Gore, VA. Heybro Productions, LLC the producer of the event is focusing on expanding to national acts as normally known for being a regional act festival for the last two events. Camp Barefoot 3 will benefit the nonprofit organization Soles4Souls, where you donate lightly used shoes to the less fortunate affected by natural disasters. With no national acts overlapping each other, the three-day weekend event will supply numerous bands on multiple stages for an intimate crowd.

Tickets are limited to a max capacity of 2,300 people. Advance ticket prices are 2-day tickets are $75 w/ camping, 3 day tickets are $100 w/ camping and 75 VIP passes are $175 w/ camping. They will also have tons of food, art and craft vendors at this grassroots, family style music and art event.

The lineup includes:

Hackensaw Boys

Pre Sale tickets are sold out?? Sounds like there are trying to add hype. No way pre-sale could have sold out in 1 day, unless there were only a few presale tickets to begin with

First come first serve at the gate... So, basically if you drive to this festival you could be turned away.

Tickets dont even go on sale till April 1st from a friend of mine told me who works the event. So no tickets had been sold. Their website is being rebuilt and they should have some info on there by today I was told. The Cove Campground in beautiful, it has 3 spring filled lakes, floating log cabins, and hot showers to say a few bonuses. Its a great grassroots event that has great music, cheap tickets and your not smothered by 8k to 10k people and having to walk miles to from your tent to the music. Great little festival, and they keep getting bigger on music but keep the same amount of people which is sweet to me!

Indeed, great line-up. Small festival experience. Sure would dig it if I can afford to make it. We'll see.

2 Nights of JAZZAM! That's what I'm talkin about. It's about time this band gets some real recognition. They Jam with the best of any of the bands on the scene. "The roof is comin DOWN"

This venue kicks ass. I went there for a 420 fest 2 years ago and it was one of the most enjoyable memorable festivals I have been too. Its a really cozy beautiful natural ampitheater about 20 minutes into private property (no security). Great REAL festival, the 2000 people become your family for the weekend.

How can you have Camp Barefoot without Barefoot Manner? I saw the headline and thought they were coming back. Rather see that reunion than Cheese, or anybody else coming out of hiatus...minus Phish. Went down once from Ohio for Mannerland and it was a sweet little fest. Got turned on to P-Groove at that fest and would love to come down if only we could get some Barefoot Manner...or at least a Monkey Navigated Robots set. Anybody know if Hank Smith will be playing with any of these bands? Or anyone else from BFM? A lot of them are new to me as I am sure they are kind of regional acts, and I don't live in that region.

I am friends with the people in Heybro productions, LLC and they said Barefoot Manner is still on Hiatus, trust me the production company of these event was Barefoot Manner management and they are trying the best they can to get the Barefoot Manner boys back for round 3. We will see! Also for Hank Smith, he will be there as he is in a new bluegrass band called No Strings Attached which will be at the event all 3 days. Also Leo Kishore the bass player of Barefoot Manner has a side project as well called Funkuponya and they are funkolious, which they will be at the event as well. I know Shawn Chase the mandolin player for Barefoot Manner will be at the event as a special guest, so that is 3 out of the 4 members of Barefoot Manner in attendance, we will just have to see~~~~~

What really sucks about this festival is that Cove Campground charges like $27 a head entrance fee in addition to the tickets.

not this year!!!! if you buy your tickets in advance camping is included!!! If you buy tickets the day of the show the total price is split at 2 gates a % goes to the campground and the other % goes to the event gate, but again those 2 pirces will add up to the total price listed above. But again you buy tickets in advance the camping is included. See you there!!!

I may have to VIP this one, $175 is as much as a normal ticket anywhere else. and it's close as fuck to where i go to school.

Mr. Heybro

Also one other thing we are doing this year is General Admission tickets are tent camping where you will be shuttled probably 100 yards from the parking lot to the camping area. VIP passes will allow them to car camp which is one bonus to the package!!!

can't wait to hit this one up...only 30-45 minutes away from my house, plus the cove campground is such a legit spot, went there last year for the Projekt. you camp wherever you want, there's open fires, and there's a 3 minute drive down the road or a 15 minute walk to get to the area where there is swimming in the river
