Uwade swung by KEXP studios in May to capture a Live on KEXP session. The Nigerian-born, North Carolina-raised singer-songwriter performed songs from her new album, Florilegium for the Seattle independent radio station.
Florilegium arrived on April 25 through Ehiose Records/Thirty Tigers. Guitarist Uwade and her band — keyboardist Tomo Nakayama, bassist Kelsey Mines and drummer Christopher Icasiano — launched the KEXP session with the album’s lead single “Call It A Draw.”

Uwade continued with the deeper cut “(I Wonder) What We’re Made Of” and Florilegium closer “Lost In Translation.” The session came to a close with another single off the LP, “Harmattan.”
