Not really jam friendly... but im digging it... But, why are kings of leon one of the headliners, they were popular awhile ago... although I heard their new album was supposedly good... Janes Addiction would be killer to see, NIN, M83 would be sweet to see too... otherwise, not really my scene... enjoy!!!

You all need to listen to more music. If it isn't your thing, no one else cares.

Todd Barry is an amazing comedian. Dry sarcastic humor, so I might only like him because I am a new englander... I am under the agreement that the lineup looks really good, but I don't want to go to a hipster festival. All those bands are great at club shows because I only have to deal with hipsters for 2 hours.

^^^Sasquatch has never tried to be an alternative to Jam fests like Roo, Rothbury, etc. It has always been an alternative/indie based fest showcasing new acts. I've only been once (last year) and went solely for Bjork and Manu Chao. If ya go expecting psychedelic revelry you'll be disappointed. The line-up looks pretty good if you like folky stuff (sun Kil Moon, Fleet Foxes, Calexico, M.Ward, Bon Iver, etc--pretty good for one fest. I think that Janes, TV on the Radio, Gogol Bordello, Grizzly Bear, Explosions in the Sky, Animal Collective, and a few others make for a pretty good line-up overall.

ya'll need to open your hearts, ears and minds a little bit to some other types of music. Where is the love? Isn't jam community supposed to be open to new sounds? Trey himself has said many times that one of his favorite bands was Pavement, and they're right up this same alley! I love phish, but I also love NIN; I love moe. but I also love Grizzly Bear and Tv on the Radio. This lineup is sick nasty. All the haters can go home.

that is definitely a pretty big initial lineup.. i have always heard great things about the gorge but that's probably one of the farthest if not THE farthest venue in the country from where i live. i will go someday, just not this year unfortunately, theres some good comedians on that list too! i almost didn't notice them underneath all those bands i have never heard of.

^nor cal (san fran) loves the jams, socal not so much - the L.A scene does a pretty good job crippling other "genre's", i'm suprised though, the gorge is a beautiful place that should have a solid lineup to compliment it...

Good God! This looks sick...I remember reading the article two years ago when NIN put on a slamming show at Sasquatch...Now you got NIN and Janes...I would go, but this is like the same line-up for the Roo and I already paid for that. Have fun WA...looks like you get this and the Dead with Allmans...You lucky bastards...

These aren't jam bands on this line-up. I like listening to jambands because they know no boundries, they venture off to things no other bands do or have done. Bands that are listed above dont do that, they have their specific genre and stick to it, its not fun to listen to, just like emos & hipsters. Thats why this fest sucks ass.

I will be at “The Dead” the previous weekend, and then heading to this. I love Phish and most Jamband Music, and some of the music in this line-up is very “heady”. I think ALL music can be good (it’s like food), if done right, it’s awesome. Expand you pallets people! Don’t live in a “jam tube” for too long, it’s bad for ya.

Expand our "jamband" minds? Believe me , I have tried, and this is why I still prefer jambands - this shit should be posted on emobands.com - Too bad Ben Harper has screwed himself on this one. This lineup looks like any week schedule in The Stranger, I swear the poster just made up half of these band names as filler. I watched TV on the radio last week on The Colbert Report......um, crap!

^bbfcfm: "I like listening to jambands because they know no boundries,..."

The last time i saw Monotonix, the drummer was playing on the floor, in the middle of the audience. every now and then, he'd through parts of his kit into the crowd, and we'd pass his stuff along and he'd eventually relocate. The singer stood on a pool table, pulled his shorts down (shirt had already been removed), and shoved the cue ball into his ass. then stage dived off the pool table. then he went outside, the audience following (with the drums), climbed a tree and stage dived onto the overhang in front of the venue. hanging off the overhang, he ripped of a neon sign. then he walked into an adjacent parking lot, audience w/ drums and drummer following, and created a huge outdoor dance party right in front of the cops. I don't think its only jambands that know no boundaries.

I'm not too stoked about this lineup either, but there are a lot of great bands on it. Depending on the schedule, I might go for one day to see Monotonix, Builders and the Butchers, Dodos, and whichever bigger name (s) coincide.

I love the jam scene but seriously, there are some really bad ass bands in this lineup. Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Explosions in the Sky, early Kings of Leon (I thought the new album sucked), Bon Iver, the Avett Brothers... all good stuff. Definitely not jammy, but most of it has a good beat. If you haven't heard some of these groups, they are worth a quick download on itunes. That being said, I'm holding out for that Rothbury lineup.

Many of you are like the label maker I have in my kitchen cupboard. Punch in some letters, CLANK: Label. "Jamband", "Indie", "Alternative". This and that. How 'bout "Roots Music" does that label fit your pigeon hole mind set? Music that is made from the heart rather than, for commerce. This label can cross all genres: Rock, Country, Reggae, Hiphop, Blues, Jazz, Electronic. Does this fest appeal to many peopl? Yes. Good. Be Happy and have fun.

Ya'll are right that there are some great indie rock bands on this lineup. Animal Collective put on a killer live show. However, there are zero jamscene bands on here. Isn't that a little odd? Bonnaroo at least has moe., Gov Mule, Grace Potter, Galactic, Toubab Crewe, and of course, Phish. Yall brought up Bonnaroo comparisons, not me.

Just sayin, where is even ONE jamband? Weird.

"I don't think its only jambands that know no boundaries." Ummm, yeah, I think shoving a cueball in your ass is one example of a boundary I would not want to see crossed. Thats the thing with most of these bands, more focused on theatrics and shock value than actual musicianship. Who cares if they swing from trees, walk over the crowd in giant balls, and vandalize the place (c'mon, ripping a neon sign off the building is supposed to impress me?) if the music does not make me groove and be happy, then forget it. Bunch of posers

I love jambands, but I saw Gogol Bordello just after new year's and I will be hard pressed to see a better show all year (Sure there were lots of hipster kids chaperoned by their moms, but the beer lines were really short!). I probably wouldn't like 80% of the bands there, but there is good music to be heard in all sorts of genres. As others have said, open your mind (and ears).

Whoever said that if this was the Rothbury lineup we would all be saying how great it is......does not speak for me. If this was the Rothbury lineup, I'd be VERY pissed off. Janes is classic, but really old (Perry can harly even sing anymore). NIN puts on a great show, but they DO NOT belong at rothbury. I HOPE ROTHBURY NEVER TURNS INTO BONNAROO, LOLLA, OR SASQUATCH.
