Kraftwerk Sets U.S. Concert Dates

MASTER CALCULATOR OPERATORS
SCHEDULE HANDFUL OF U.S. SHOWS

In a career spanning more than 35 years, German electro pioneers Kraftwerk have been endlessly saluted and mimicked by each new generation of innovators. In the late 1970s, the post-punk futurists professed their devotion. In the 1980s and '90s, the leading lights of Chicago house, Detroit and Euro-techno paid homage. Kraftwerk is possibly the most sampled band on the planet, and their music continues to inspire.

Ralf Hütter, Florian Schneider, Fritz Hilpert and Henning Schmitz are returning to the U.S. to perform a short series of shows in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Denver and the 2008 Coachella festival. These are Kraftwerk's first US shows since 2005. Their unforgettable appearance at Coachella 2004, combining state-of-the-art interactive audio and lighting, still has folks buzzing four years on.

Tour Dates
Sat 4/19 Minneapolis, MN @ Myth
Sun 4/20 Milwaukee, WI @ Eagles Ballroom
Wed 4/23 Denver, CO @ The Fillmore Auditorium
Sat 4/26 Coachella, CA @ Coachella Music Festival

Hell yeah people, that 4/20 show might have me forgettin about the Volta show at the Aragon. These guys inspired a lot of killer acts on the scene today.

Should I dare to think of a possible 4-18 date in Chicago for the Green Apple Festival. Has anyone heard of anything going on for that?

If you have a chance to see this band...If you only see one show this year ... MAKE IT MOTHERFLUCKING KRAFTWERK!!!

This is a chance to see living legends live. If I don't see some East Coast dates added soon, I will be flying westward.

A definite must-see for me.

Why oh Why do so may good bands play @ the Myth??

I hate this venue. Always oversold & so many spots you cant see from unless you fight shoulder to shoulder.

Bring it to First Ave. everyone.

Ill probably go anyway, cant miss this one.

i found out about that milwaukee show last night and made a bunch of weird gleeful noises. decisions, decisions! there's the green apple fest going on in lincoln park zoo in chicago that sunday during the day, gotta wait and see if they can match bisco/umphreys from last year, but i think i'd rather go see kraftwerk than mars volta that night. it's just a matter of timing: looks like the kraftwerk milwaukee show starts at 8pm... who wants to make the run up to milwaukee after hanging out in lincoln park?!

I hate the eagles ballroom...the rave in general blows...why do bands still play at this place...sound sucks, drinks are watered down as well as overpriced and the security is overbearing...hell the artists even get robbed outside of the venue!

The riverside or Pabst would have been a better choice...oh well...maybe some other rime I will see Kraftwerk....
