Gigantour 2008

Megadeth will hit the road again this year with their caravan of heaviness, Gigantour. North American dates begin on April 12th at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver. In addition to Megadeth, this installment of Gigantour will include In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Job For A Cowboy and High On Fire.

"The breaking news is we are going to have five bands this year, instead of eight," says Megadeth's Dave Mustaine. "The decision to drop it down from eight bands to five was based on timing, set lengths, stage sizes, unions, and most importantly allowing 'us' - the musicians - to deliver to 'you' - the fans - the best shows we can."

Gigantour UK will make its debut in Norwich on Feb 17th and finish up in London on Feb 24th. Scheduled for the main support is special guest Job For A Cowboy, and thanks to fan votes on, the UK's own Evile will open the entire tour.

Clear Channel is everything that is wrong with the music industry...

quote from JamBase Mission statement

"JamBase works closely with leading concert promoters and record labels like Live Nation"

Clear Channel is EVIL!!!!

Yea here is another anoucment/ article that I don't want to see on Jambase. Live Nation I heard is going to sell there own tickets for their own venues, this could be a great move to either A.Getting Fucked over more with charges and other bullshit B. Fucking ticket master

The 2006 Gigantour with Opeth and Lamb of God was one of the most intense, cool evenings of music I had that year. Mustaine has great instincts in picking the lineup for this thing.

Saw Megadeth at Red Rocks years ago and it was awsome. If you wanna hear some killer guitar work chesk out Cacaphony with Jason Becker and Marty Friedman. It is pre-Megadeth. Fuckin' metal.

I care. I love the Dead but I love Megadeth and most bone crunching thrash. The one stop shopping is convenient.

Jerry's dead. Dave is still alive and playing music. Thank you Jambase for letting me know about this tour.

Although most of us like to think that we are open to all music styles, and that we are free thinkers and progressive with our ideas and actions. We are not. We only like to here when STS9 plays a field in Kansas. Will you please remove all other information from this website, so I can concentrate clearly on my objective? STS9 and Kansas. Thank you Jambase and thank you Jerryskid315. We are are now a little dumber than when we first saw this article.

jerry's kid is an idiot. if you dont like show, please dont go but dont ruin this site for all the open minded people that appreciate more than one type of musical style. i for one like hearing about as much different kind of music as possible, then actually listening to it, and then making the decision for myself if i like it or not. wierd concept.

You're really working very hard to find something to get upset about, JK. No one is telling you to care about Clear Channel. The site wouldn't be serving the mission of LIVE MUSIC if they didn't notice what's going on at every kind of venue, including CC's mega-domes. Jambase is hardly a tool of Big Concert Promo. There's only one tool here, and it's you.

Umphrey's Magee should headline this, they are heavier than all of these bands...hahahaha

I don't think they are heavier, but when the do go heavy, they are at their best.
