Backyard Tire Fire
Backyard Tire Fire storm into 2008 with two special year end shows. On Friday December 21 the band will host their 2nd Annual Holiday Jamboree at Daddio’s in Bloomington, IL featuring Backyard Tire Fire as well as several other notable regional rock bands, all proceeds will once again be donated to the Salvation Army. On New Years Eve, 12/31/07, the band will play Heroes and Legends in Joliet, IL, the special evening will be hosted by January 2008 Playboy Cover Model and My Fair Brady’s Adrianne Curry, who is a long time fan.

Backyard Tire Fire is primed for a breakout year in 2008. They are set to play Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Simple Man Cruise from January 10-14. In March they’ll be playing shows with Bloodkin on their way down to Florida to play the Langerado Festival, and they’ll be joining Reverend Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy for a four week tour in April and May 2008.

2007 has been a whirlwind for BTF, who are comprised by lead vocalist and guitarist Ed Anderson, bassist Matt Anderson and drummer Tim Kramp. In February, the band released Vagabonds & Hooligans, a pinnacle recording that has since become their best selling album to date. Musically, it showcased a breadth of vision in the band’s songwriting that helped define their own unique place in the current rock and roll landscape. Music bloggers raved about the album. BlogCritics declared, “What matters is good music, and on that point Backyard Tire Fire delivers big time. What they also deliver is a sound that is firmly rooted in the rich history of American music – rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, country, and folk to name but a few – while still being fresh and original,” while Earvolution stated, “By successfully working the borders and diving into country, blues, Southern rock and indie-rock and finding their commonality, Backyard Tire Fire has found something fresh and new within each one.” On the road, BTF performed over 200 shows in 2007, highlighted by tours with artists ranging from JJ Grey & MOFRO to Clutch and festival dates including Wanee Festival, Wakarusa, Mountain Jam and Twangfest.
