A new trend that’s developed over the past few years has been artists making their albums available for streaming a week (or more) before the release date. Today is a fine example of the trend as Mike Gordon’s Overstep, Beck’s Morning Phase and St. Vincent’s St. Vincent are all available for our streaming pleasure.

Mike Gordon’s long-awaited follow-up to 2010’s Moss, Overstep, contains 11 varied tracks, some of which have been performed by Phish. Rolling Stone has premiered Overstep this morning. Take a listen:

Meanwhile, NPR has a “first listen” to Beck’s Morning Phase. The album has been compared to Beck’s moody 2002 release Sea Change and after a few listens we can see why. Head to NPR to give it a spin.

Finally, The Guardian has premiered St. Vincent’s self-titled fifth album, which the paper has awarded five stars.

All three albums are due out one week from today -February 25.
