JamBase | Ohio Go See Live Music!
I still haven't seen these guys, but I've heard great things. I didn't know much about BMG until I read that Tim Alexander from Primus was a member for a few years during Primus hiatus. The show looks pretty out there...
there's gotta be a better way to say that
im not a ra ra save the environment type of guy, but these reptilians sure waste a lot of toilet paper during their shows. As someone who is forced to buy the lowest of low grades of TP due to unfortunate finacial circumstances, I was rather vexed by the licentious usage of my butts most precious resource, 3 ply, quilted bung wad. the show was good though, worth seeing once, maybe twice.
BMG is way psychedelic.. go see them. I am suprised they havent been to any festivals. Its one of the best drum and visual based shows you can see. hmmmm...
yah matt, that would actually be pretty sick at a festival. I think they would fit right in too.
I've had the good fortune of seeing these guys twice, once with the original cast in NYC. Pretty far out. these pictures don't do justice to the craziness that transpires on stage. And I was stone sober both times I saw them.
BMG is pretty fun but the touring show isnt as good as the Vegas show. i havent seen the Venetian show but i heard it is way better than when they were at Luxor and that was awesome. a bit spendy at 93 bucks for the cheap seat, probably more now but it is unforgettable. FYI - the BMG played Coachella back in 04. they rode through the lawn all hanging off of a little truck similar to a plethora of clowns exiting a little car. it was fun! Also a close friend of mine auditioned for them in Vegas and they told him he was 40 pounds too fat! oh well.
BMG is wild. I thought the meat of the show (Tubes) was very entertaining. But the ending was a bit anticlimatic. It consisted of strobe lights, some freaky dancing, and a lot of toilet paper.
I haven't seen them yet, though I will be around the end of January. Marty Ylitalo, the original drummer for new monsoon is joining the Las Vegas show starting this Monday. He's driving down there as I type!
The photo's don't provide any notion of what the show is about. Just a bunch of portrates.
