Their new album, Roses & Clover may be their best and most dynamic effort to date that showcases great songwriting and musicianship. For anyone on the left coast or in the midwest, don't miss this chance to see one of the nation's most up and coming bands. Please support these guys as they offer up a soulful blend of songs with solid vocals combined with some fantastic jamming. I see more potential with ALO than most Jambands as each song is different from the next. Get ready to dance!

Last time I saw them I was very impressed. Good song writing and very diverse jams. They're nothing new but still worth seeing.

I can't explain how much this band has meant to my wife and I the past few months. My buddy threw my Roses & Clover, then FBF, then Time Expander, then their two soundboard shows from Soho this summer. WOW. By far my favorite band right now. Great lyrics, great jams, great covers. Everything seems so right on. Can't wait for the Double Door.

I can never get enough of these guys, live or on disc...this is one of my favorite bands of the new generation, I just absolutely love their music, lyrics, recordings and live performances. They also happen to be some of the most down-to-earth, friendly musicians that I have ever met in person. Their fans are super-supportive of ALO and all kinds of other bands and music on the scene, the SBPhreaks have helped spread the word and liberate inner animals all across the globe. Dan Lebowitz is perhaps the hottest guitar player out there right now, he's absolutely in his prime, and the other members of the band, Steve Adams (bass, vocals) Dave Brogan (drums, percussion, guita, piano, vocals) and Zach Gill (keys, piano, accordian, ukulele, melodica, vocals) are top notch performers as well.

And to the poor soul currently going by call-sign: dl0571,

They played the Bowery last night and were up in Woodstock on Monday night, with stops in Northampton and Boston in between. Where were you?

these guys are awesome! When are they coming back to Austin? Saw them at Vegoose in 2005 and when they played with jack johnson here in austin. Zach gill is underrated as all hell!!

These guys are such a great band! Saw them in NYC last night and Monday in Woodstock. Totally amazing. Lebo is a sick guitarist...dare I say it, he reminds me of Trey.

Milesgone, I know you're not really that closed-minded, ha ha ha. You should have gone to Echo Project to see them, talk about a missed opportunity. ALO doesn't play with BD or Guster 24/7. Next time they're out your way they'll be headlining a good-sized room with a two-set show. Most of their shows on this tour have indeed been two-set barnburners...these guys are for real.

I know people are calling me out for saying no love for NY..I should've specified. Im in Buffalo-a 6 hour drive to Woodstock and a little over 7 to NYC

Wow, I had no idea it took so long to drive across New York! It takes about the same time (or more) to drive across Nevada and Nebraska, I know that from personal experience. Somehow I have a felling that, even in the dead of winter the drive through NY state is much more beautiful than NV or NE. Not that this necessarily makes it worth it to see a band like ALO for the first time, though it would be perfectly understandable either way. I will put in a good word for Buffalo next time I see these guys. Hopefully you'll get a taste of ALO sooner rather than later. In the meantime, everyone else, get out and see these guys on this tour or the next!

BTW, USCTrojans4Life knows what he's talking about people. Fight On!

ALO has a very big fanbase out west in san diego, LA, San Francisco and Portland. Things are growing in Boulder, Denver and Seattle as we speak. I think they are ripe to cultivate a fanbase in the mid-west and northeast; a little moreso than the southeast. i suggest contacting www.fanmanager.net and helping out with spreading the word and you will also get free tickets to the show.

To the ALO fans who are not on the west coast---where do you see ALO cultivating a big fanbase? Is it Boston, NYC or Wash DC? Hopefully it's all of the above!

With all the darkness out there (STS9, tDB and others), ALO is that happy, shining beacon of light that will remind you why you listen to music in the first place. Music is good for your soul and so is ALO! Lebo and Zach are totally underrated musicians. Their music has soul, substance, great songwriting, and a feel-good vibe. They also can jam pretty hardcore and surprise people--like going into darker realms in a 'Shapeshifter' jam.

I suggest checking out some shows on archive.org as their live shows are so much different and really showcase their potential moreso than the albums. Check out the Fillmore in SF show from Last October in 06, any High Sierra show, or just about any show from SoHo in Santa Barbara.
