Gongzilla Links Up w/ Umph

Gongzilla New Studio Album / The Echo Project
Official Umphrey's McGee After-Shows

Gongzilla
Journalist Bill Milkowski called Gongzilla "simply mind-boggling." Jimmy Herring says "Gongzilla is the shit!" Gongzilla, whose territory ranges from the USA to Europe to Japan, hits the East Coast in October. Shows include five very special nights with Umphrey's McGee as well as an appearance at Atlanta's Echo Project Festival.

Recently, Gongzilla has included some jam band heroes in its live performances, like guitarist Chuck Garvey and percussionist Jim Loughlin of moe., and has emphasized vocals, crafting songs which fuse with improvisational rock. They certainly have a way with guitarists – especially the monsters. Just take a look at some of the heavy hitters sitting in with GZ's Hansford Rowe (bass), Bon Lozaga (guitar), Jameison Ledonio (guitar), and Phil Kester (drums) on their fourth studio album to be released January 2008. Currently being mixed, the record includes Jake Cinninger of Umphrey's McGee and Chuck Garvey of moe. plus guitarist David "Fuze" Fiuczynski of Screaming Headless Torsos and bassist Kai Eckhardt of Garaj Mahal! Contradictions and balance; Rowe and Lozaga sing some cool songs that will singe your soul while balancing both the hyper precision and the rockin' mayhem this band is capable of live.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say that they are playing 1 night with Umphreys McGee and doing 4 after shows?

^ stupid comment

jambase a news outlet or an online community that informs music fans of shows by up-and-coming bands?
