Danger Mouse
Remember that little album St. Elsewhere Gnarls Barkley put out last year? You know the one; it dropped out of nowhere, had that song “Crazy” on it and went on to sell over one million copies as it ripped a hole through the music industry. Well, Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo are back at it with their follow-up due in late 2007 or early 2008.

Always one to keep a few irons burning, Danger Mouse has been keeping himself busy with a slew of other projects in addition to Gnarls. Of particular note is his recent union with The Black Keys. The Akron, Ohio duo is currently in the studio with Danger Mouse recording their fourth album which will be released by Nonesuch sometime in 2008. When questioned about the decision, The Black Keys said, “[we] have never worked with an outside producer before Danger Mouse. Expect a career-pivoting record.”

In between twisting knobs and makin’ shit happen for Gnarls and The Black Keys, Danger Mouse has also recently finished producing Martina Topley-Bird‘s sophomore album The Blue God and a new record by London’s The Shortwave Set which features a 24-piece orchestra and even a cameo from Velvet Underground’s John Cale.
