Set upon the scenic St. Johns River and expansive Atlantic Ocean, Jacksonville is considered by many to be the birthplace of Southern rock. The city gave rise to legendary groups The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and their disciples Blackfoot, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet and others. Tedeschi Trucks Band guitarist Derek Trucks was born in Jacksonville and maintains a residence and recording facility there with Susan Tedechi.

TIAA Bank Field, located on the banks of the St. Johns River is home to the NFL’s Jaguars and also houses the headquarters of All Elite Wrestling professional wrestling company.
