About Nathan Dale
In the warm glow of the spotlight you’ll find Nathan Dale: guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He has developed a signature style that is classic yet laced with his own melodic and original flair. His talents and skills are as diverse as his musical influences. These influences vary widely from Merle Haggard to George Harrison and from The Band to Radiohead. Nathan expresses personal and often troubling life experiences through his music. He always delivers an honest, spirited performance.
Early on, Nathan enjoyed commercial success as a founding member of Sacramento favorite, Sweet Vine. In 1995, the band signed with Columbia Records and recorded a self-titled CD at the famed Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York. Once praised by, Dan Aquilante of The New York Post, “Sweet Vine has some very real success…the lyrics ring with a sense of honesty.” The band toured nationwide before separating in the late 1990’s.
As a five-year member of The Jackie Greene Band, Nathan has been the ideal complement to Jackie’s soulful sound – infusing both heartfelt guitar arrangements and impassioned vocal harmonies. In addition, his musical contributions include steel/slide guitar, bass, and piano/keyboards. Touring extensively, they have played some of the nation’s largest festivals and historic venues, including Bonnaroo and The Fillmore. Moreover, they have shared the stage with an impressive list of industry veterans: Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Gov’t Mule, B.B. King, and The Black Crowes. Twice appearing with Jackie Greene on Late Night with Conan O’Brien was an experience that left Nathan “truly grateful and appreciative for all the wonderful opportunities. Thanks, Jackie.”
