Jackie Greene Debuts Piano Version Of Grateful Dead Cover

By Scott Bernstein May 21, 2019 11:40 am PDT

Jackie Greene played the Grateful Dead classic “So Many Roads” on piano for the first time publicly on Sunday night as part of a duo concert with Nathan Dale. The show took place at City Winery in Boston.

Greene played the Dead’s “They Love Each Other” towards the end of the marathon set and then advised the crowd he would do something he had never done before. Jackie then headed over to the piano for “So Many Roads.” The pair mixed originals from Greene’s solo repertoire with a series of choice covers throughout the night.
