About Kellen Asebroek
Kellen Asebroek is an Oregon-via-California transplant who is best known as one of the songwriters behind Portland band Fruition’s diverse and vast catalog. He has been playing music since childhood, and has been performing in bands since the late 90’s. His solo sets consist of him and an acoustic guitar, the songs ranging from unreleased originals, songs written for Fruition, and a tasteful selection of classic and modern covers.
With influences leaning heavier on the Soul, R&B and Dub side of the spectrum, his one-man performances are much less folk-based than with the band, but the country and folk roots still shine through his original and cover songs. He also performs in the Northwest as a Soul/Disco/House/Hip Hop DJ, under the alias DJ kelbel.
