It can be argued that 2013 was the year of Daft Punk as the French duo unleashed their critically and commercially successful Random Access Memories LP in an inventive way earlier this year. The one thing the pair didn’t do was perform live, but according to Rolling Stone that will change next month.

Daft Punk are scheduled to make their first live performance in support of Random Access Memories at the Grammy Awards on January 26. It also marks the duo’s first televised performance since they appeared with Kanye West at the 2008 Grammys.

“We learned that because they had such a good experience with us when they appeared with Kanye in 2008, they were happy to discuss a performance on this year’s show,” Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich told Rolling Stone. “Conversations took place over a period of a couple of months, and finally they agreed to be a part of this year’s telecast. Details of the performance are still being worked out, but the idea of having the exclusive television performance by this iconic band is something we’re very, very excited about.”

The Frenchmen are up for four Grammys including Album Of The Year.
