Zoogma Shares Title Track For ‘New Era’ EP

Nashville based livetronica act Zoogma have unveiled the title track from their forthcoming EP, New Era, which is due out January 29. The band has shared audio of “New Era” as well as a video for the track showing the four-piece live in action.

Today’s release is the second track to be shared from New Era as the funky “Molasses” was unveiled back in November. A statement from the band accompanying the release reads, “For years people have asked us ‘WTF is ZOOGMA?’ – and we usually answer in the form of a performance. In many ways we couldn’t describe what we were as easily as we could demonstrate what we were. New Era, our forthcoming four-track EP, is our most concerted effort at answering that question with a recording. Our first two endeavors in the studio (Recreational Vehicles and Anthems 4 Androids) yielded some of our favorite compositions and allowed us to begin to hone in on who we were and what we wanted our sound to be. With New Era we believe we created something, both conceptually and aurally, that indicates the direction we’re heading without forgetting where we’ve been. Live instrumentation. Methodical production. The genre defying and hard-hitting union of analog and digital that we deliver with every performance. That is the direction we are headed, that is the purpose of this release: to usher in the New Era of ZOOGMA.”
