By Scott Bernstein Mar 15, 2017 • 8:38 am PDT
Colorado jamgrass act Yonder Mountain String Band have announced the upcoming release of the next installment of their Mountain Tracks live compilation. Mountain Tracks: Volume 6 is due April 7 with early release copies available via Yonder’s online store now or at the band’s merch table during Spring Tour.
The new installment is the first Mountain Tracks release since 2008. Mountain Tracks: Volume 6 features a mix of Yonder originals such as “Black Sheep” and “I’m Lost” with covers including “Sister Golden Hair” by America and Blind Melon’s “No Rain.” Guitarist Adam Aijala issued a statement about the release, “Mountain Tracks 6 is a collection of live songs from the first half of our 2016 touring year. It’s been a long time since we’ve released a hard copy of a live show, but we’ve received a lot of requests over the past couple of years. We were happy to oblige. Hope you enjoy it!”
YMSB kicks off Spring Tour 2017 tonight at The Depot in Salt Lake City.
