Railroad Earth performed at the Hillberry Harvest Moon Festival in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Saturday night. October 12 marked one year since Railroad Earth multi-instrumentalist Andy Goessling died. RRE welcomed special guests Allie Kral and Jake Jolliff of Yonder Mountain String Band as well as Matt Slocum on keys and Mike Robinson on pedal steel, guitar, and banjo.
The band opened their first set with “Happy Song” which led into “420.” RRE also played “Raven’s Child” and “Chasin’ A Rainbow” before welcoming Kral on fiddle for “Bird In A House” to close out the first set.
The second set kicked off with “‘Neath The Stars” and also included “Long Way To Go” and “Been Down This Road.” Jolliff joined the band on mandolin for “Stillwater Getaway” and “Warhead Boogie.” Railroad closed out the second set with “Give That Boy A Hand.” The band would reemerge for an encore of “Walk Beside Me.”
