X and Los Lobos have announced their 99 Years Of Rock n’ Roll Tour spanning multiple months across North America. The co-headlining run is the first for the two Los Angeles-associated bands whose combined musical history stretches nearly a century.

“48 years is a long time. 51 years, even longer,” said Louis Perez Jr. of Los Lobos. “But 99 years combined is an insane number for two rock ‘n’ roll bands and with the same lineup? Unheard of. That’s what we got going this year when Los Lobos team up with our good amigos X for our very first American tour together. Sounds like a celebration and everybody is invited.”

The 99 Years Of Rock n’ Roll Tour kicks off on July 19 in Denver and July 20 in Salt Lake City. The bands will then play a standalone show on August 3 in Santa Ana, California at the OC FAIR/Pacific Amphitheatre.

The East Coast leg continues with shows in Baltimore on September 24, New York on September 25, and Philadelphia on September 28.

The journey through the Southern and Midwestern states begins on October 7 in Nashville, followed by Atlanta on October 9, Memphis on October 10 and St. Louis on October 11. Kansas City hosts the bands on October 12, before they head to Milwaukee on October 15, Chicago on October 16, and Indianapolis on October 17.

For the final stretch in November, the tour hits the West Coast and Texas regions. Pacific Northwest dates include Portland on November 3 and Seattle on November 4. California shows follow with Oakland on November 8, San Diego on November 13, and Riverside on November 14. The 99 Years Of Rock n’ Roll Tour is currently set to conclude with a Texas run featuring Austin on November 19, Dallas on November 20, and Houston on November 22. More shows are expected to be announced at a later date.

“This is a dream come true for me,” said X’s Exene Cervenka. “We’re taking the 70s and 80s punk roots of L.A. both East and West all over the country. TOGETHER! 99 years and still going strong. Let’s have a party!”
