The documentary film about the original 1969 Woodstock music festival will be shown in theaters for one night only on August 15. The special screenings coincide with the 50th anniversary of the legendary event.

Director Michael Wadleigh released the original Academy Award-nominated Woodstock documentary in 1970. The upcoming 50th anniversary screenings will feature the director’s three-hour, 44 minute cut of the film with performances by over 30 artists such as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Joan Baez and Crosby, Stills & Nash.
