The WinterWonderGrass Music Festival is expanding to the East Coast for a three-day celebration of music, winter sports, craft beer, cider, local foods and family at Stratton Mountain Resort in Stratton, Vermont December 14 – 16. Organizers have hosted seven previous installments of WinterWonderGrass in Colorado thus far and five in Lake Tahoe.

Railroad Earth and The Infamous Stringdusters have been tapped to headline the lineup for the inaugural East Coast installment of the event. A total of 20+ bands led by RRE and The Stringdusters will perform on WinterWonderGrass’ four stages. WWG’s outdoor main stage will be surrounded by three heated beer halls, which will host performances from side stage acts. Look for the remaining acts as well as craft brewery and cider partners to be revealed on September 13.

“The inspiration behind WinterWonderGrass is to recreate the magic of ending your snow day at the base of the hill surrounded by family and friends, reminiscing about the day’s turns, while sipping a beer and listening to acoustic music. I learned to ski at Bromley, and those moments and memories are never far from my spirit,” WinterWonderGrass founder Scotty Stoughton said in a statement. “Living in the West, I have observed the expansion of ski towns and mountains, and I have a deep desire to recapture the true essence of the sport and communities that were built around mountain adventure!”

WinterWonderGrass is a family-friendly event featuring a kid’s zone including face painting, hula hooping and crafts. Organizers put an emphasis on the festival’s strong environmental program that diverts over 85% of festival waste from landfills. Ticketholders will receive a Klean Kanteen stainless steel commemorative festival mug as no single-use plastics are on site.
