Willie Nelson unveiled the official video for his cover of Guy Clark’s “Immigrant Eyes,” a song the 86-year-old legend recorded for his latest studio album. Nelson’s Ride Me Back Home came out this past Friday via Legacy Recordings.

The video for “Immigrant Eyes” mixes archival footage of immigrants descending upon America in the Ellis Island days with footage of those trying to enter this country in recent years and people protesting current immigration policy. A Spanish translation containing part of Emma Lazarus’ “The New Colossus,” which appears in English on a bronze plaque within the Statue Of Liberty, is featured at the end of the video. Guy Clark originally recorded “Immigrant Eyes” for his 1989 album, Old Friends.
