Watch Willie Nelson Perform ‘I Never Cared For You’ With All-Star Supergroup On ‘Colbert’

Willie Nelson, who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tomorrow (Friday, November 3), served as the musical guest on Wednesday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Nelson was backed by a supergroup of acclaimed, in-demand musicians for a performance of “I Never Cared For You.”

“I Never Cared For You” was penned by Nelson and released by the legendary outlaw country star as a single in 1964. The song is one of 22 Nelson classics from throughout his six-decade career included on a new Greatest Hits collection due out tomorrow.

Willie Nelson on guitar and vocals was joined for his first of two consecutive Colbert appearances by his son, Micah Nelson on acoustic guitar, Don Was on bass, drummer Terence Higgins, Matt Rollings on organ, harmonica player Mickey Raphael and Paul Franklin on pedal steel.
