Wilco Debuts 4 Songs At Fall Tour 2019 Opener In Norway

Wilco debuted live renditions of four songs from their forthcoming Ode To Joy LP on Wednesday night at their Fall Tour 2019 opener. The 26-song concert took place at Tapperiet Scene in Trondheim, Norway.
Jeff Tweedy and company kicked off the show, and tour, with “You Are My Face” off Sky Blue Sky. Next up was the first ever live version of Ode To Joy’s “Bright Leaves.” Classics “I Am Trying To Break Your Heart,” “Kamera” and “Handshake Drugs” were followed by the debut of “One & A Half Stars.” From there, Wilco went with “Hummingbird” and played recently debuted Ode To Joy number “White Wooden Cross.”

The concert continued with the familiar pairing of “Red-Eyed & Blue” and “I Got You (At The End Of The Century)” and the second ever live performance by Wilco of “An Empty Corner” from Ode To Joy. “Everyone Hides” from the forthcoming LP, the evening’s third live debut, was fit in among such favorites as “Box Full Of Letters,” “Reservations,” “Jesus, Etc.,” “I’m The Man Who Loves You” and “Misunderstood” to close out the main set. Ode To Joy’s lead single, “Love Is Everywhere (Beware),” saw action for the first time to begin an encore that also included “California Stars,” “Outtasite (Outta Mind)” and “I’m A Wheel.”
