Wilco fans came together to create a lip sync video of the band’s “Hate It Here.” The video premiered on Monday’s episode of The Tweedy Show livestream.
Organized by “clients” during last week’s Tweedy Show hiatus, the tribute surprised Jeff Tweedy and his wife Sue Tweedy, who were moved to tears by the gesture. Their son Spencer Tweedy mentioned the project was organized by fans named Nicole and Stacy.

The episode continued with Jeff performing “Pigeons,” “Love Is Everywhere (Beware)” and “Nothing’severgonnastandinmyway (Again).” Jeff and Sue’s son Sammy Tweedy led covers of “Broken Heart” by Skip Spence and “Frank Mills” from the musical Hair. Jeff also led a belated birthday tribute cover of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young.”
Spencer played drums while Sammy sang lead on covers of “Can You Get To That” by Funkadelic and “Oh! Sweet Nuthin’” by The Velvet Underground. The show closed with the usual rendition of Roger Miller’s “Reincarnation.” Watch Monday’s The Tweedy Show episode below:
