Wilco Frontman Jeff Tweedy Writing Memoir

By Scott Bernstein Nov 20, 2015 2:05 pm PST

Anyone who has attended a Wilco or Jeff Tweedy performance has likely heard the singer/guitarist spin a tale. Tweedy is known for his oft hilarious and always honest banter and will bring that sensibility to a memoir he is writing.

The Associated Press broke the news that Tweedy is working on a memoir which doesn’t yet have a release date. Penguin/Random House imprint Dutton has purchased the book and in a statement said that the memoir will be “Funny, disarming, and honest” as Jeff discusses his career and state of the music industry.

“I have stories to tell, and I’d like for this book to be a combination of those stories about my experiences, and maybe a window into one person’s creative process, as well as some of what I’ve seen working with other artists in my current and former bands, in the studio, on the road, in my basement with my sons and more,” Tweedy said. We can’t wait to read what Tweedy has in store.
